Shauna Hyde has a BS in Biology from Marietta College, Marietta, OH. She worked at Microbac Labs for 11 years doing environmental work, obtained a Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, OH, and was appointed to the Belmont-Nine Mile charge in the St Marys, WV area.

Shauna is currently the Pastor of Parish Life at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, WV. 50 Shades of Grace is her second book with Energion Publications. Victim No More! (2011) articulates Rev. Hyde’s observations of the connections between her faith and life as a black belt in Shota Kahn karate, including commitment, discipline, and mercy. She continues to travel extensively with her message, speaking at rehab centers, counseling centers, women’s retreats, church services, youth rallies, etc.
