Philip O. Hopkins is a religious historian with a special interest in missions. He has PhD degrees from Southeastern Baptist T heological Seminary (Applied Theology) and from the University of St. Andrews (Iranian History). He spent nearly 20 years analying ethnic and minority peoples in Iran, Turkey, and the Caucasus region. He is now Professor of Missions at Gateway Seminary. He lives in southern California with his wife, Mary Ann. They have one son.
