Energion Direct provides some ebook files in ePub or PDF format for download. Here are some tips for using these books.

Social DRM

Some of our files use social DRM (digital rights management). What this means is that the file is watermarked with your name and email. This is a minimally intrusive form of DRM. Your file will not expire, and you can download it multiple times as well as copy it to any of your devices.

Using Downloaded eBooks

There are a number of readers that you can use. If your ebook reader is not listed on this page, you should be able to find instructions for it with the help provided by the app publisher or device manufacturer. We’re providing basic instructions for a few possible devices.

Adobe Digital Editions

Adobe Digital Editions is available as a free download from Adobe.com. It is also available in the app stores for either iOS or Android devices. Digital editions is a good option to read ebooks if you don’t want to use a reader you already have, such as a Kindle. Loading the book in your Adobe Digital Editions reader is as simple as either setting it as the default app for your device, or choosing that device to read.

Kindle

Kindle devices can be a bit more challenging, but there is a fairly simple way to get your book into your library. Simply to to the Send to Kindle page on Amazon and you can upload the book there. It will be added to your library and will be available on your devices according to your instructions there.

Google Play

When you choose to open the book with Google Play (install their app and then select it when opening the ebook file), it will be uploaded to your account and will be available either via a browser or on the app on any device.

Other Devices (Nook, Kobo, etc)

These will normally allow you to open a downloaded file simply by selecting their app when you first open the file. Each app works differently with regard to their library. I frequently use a Nook reader, and after I load the file, it’s automatically added to the library and available to me as long as I’m using that device.
