Deborah Roeger and her husband Derf have been married over 47 years. They are blessed with two married children and six amazing grandchildren. Formerly from Ohio, they both retired early to follow God’s call into full time volunteer work with the Ohio prisons. At the same time, they began leading small groups and teaching Bible studies at Worthington Christian Church. In 2015 God instructed them to move to Pace, Florida and led them to Chumuckla Community Church. There they taught an adult Sunday School class, led a small group, facilitated numerous Bible studies and began an international teaching ministry. In September, 2020 they moved again at God’s instruction and now fellowship with Calvary Chapel Melbourne. There they serve in the prayer ministry, teach and disciple. Deborah and Derf are avid life-long learners continuously studying to grow in knowledge and in relationship with God. The cry of their hearts is to see God’s Kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. The hallmark of their teaching is drawing fellow Christ-followers into the biblical text for the purpose of life transformation. Everything they do is undergirded in prayer; they consider it a privilege to serve wherever the Lord sends them.
