“Let your light so shine before men, that they will see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” (Matthew )
Nancy Petrey took on a new role in her life two years ago. She became a widow. Once again, music became a way for her to express her feelings, a way for her to communicate with and worship her LORD.
There is much more to her story than music. Included are ministry times in churches with her husband, Curtis, and ministry as a “Mizpah for Israel.” Nancy recalls her musical exploits in high school, college, and in her career as choral teacher in public schools, community musician, church choir director, composer, singer, and pianist. In varied settings, she learned to “bloom where she was planted,” even resorting to comedy routines.
Nancy writes about her hearing impairment and the miracles God did for her. At the end of the book are some original musical compositions, all based on the Bible.
Nancy lives in Petrey, Alabama. She has four children and 17 grandchildren.
